Nice to meet you at open house Wayne, and I may be interested in some wheels in the coming weeks. Nice set of parts, I have a long list myself. I like the steering wheel to.

    Ej207 (jdm Sti)
    Stock heads
    Stock bottom end
    Stock Sti pink injectors
Stock vf37 twin scroll turbo, with stock equal length headers
06 Usdm sti oil pan, killer B larger oil pick up and baffle
    Perrin inlet
    Custom intake
Open source tune of jdm sti ecu and Usdm wrx ecu
Dieted 2002 usdm wrx harness with avcs provisions
    Dw55 fuel pump
    Sparco steering wheel
Etc etc, but cool stuff and it should all be fun . I will make 300-335whp 315-340wheel torque with a redline of 8700. The ej207 revs out great .

We gotta retro the wipers to one blade as you mentioned, I took a look today, should not be too bad.

Cant wait to see your build. Keep up the post/pics. Very exciting. Any reason you guys are choosing the ej20 over ej25s? And stand alone harness? Details plz if possible.

I just like the rev of the ej207 and for a light weight car with a 5spd and high rev, I will have very long gears and that's why I decided on it. The 2.0's tend to like rev better at stock and moderate engine builds. You can make a 2.5 get their to, just my preference for this build. I like the 2.5 is better in the wrx

I just did some searching for a version 7 or 8 EJ20, and wow their expensive! You could almost get a 06 donor for that. Do you guys have a good connection for engines? Or are you just baller? haha

I got one for 3,700, I am not a baller lol, just a fabricator/ welder that stays busy. I know the front wheels were 17's , and maybe 235/40s and the rears were 255/40r18

Great to see you Saturday Wayne and I am looking forward to watching the build. Roebling Road is a great track with close to a mile long straight and some good off-camber corners. Have a blast.

Nice meeting you at the open house. Good luck with the build. I forgot to ask which turbo do you plan on running?

I have a GT2560R sitting on the shelf that is going on the car. If it isn't big enough once I get it on my dyno I'll spring for a GT2871R which has the same footprint. I am a Garrett dealer so I'll swap turbine housings to find out which works best.

I had DTC-30 pads on my 06wrx for DD duty. Squealed like crazy and dusty as all get out. I remember my friend going along for a ride in the neighborhood (just put a new motor in) and he asked how well the brakes worked with those pads. I was only doing about 30, but he smacked his head on the windshield. I didn't know he wasn't buckled up. Lol.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say our buddy Jon Krolewicz. He runs a "Seat Time" program that we all use for test and tune, and testosterone tuning as well.. Jon has an awesome program with tons and tons of track time at a really good price.

It's the MBZ of Buckhead weekend, we'll have 2 track Elises, Elise turbo street car, and a T3 350z nissan. All the track time you could want. Last year I got 10 laps behind the wheel of a 2010 GT3 Porsche. 2 days with all the track time you can stand, dinner on River street Saturday night, BBQ at the track Sunday. What's not to like

    Wayne,

Just an opinion here, but the latest Walbros are junk. Most of my Mustang friends have ditched them (due to failure). Mine failed on my Roadster after ~2 hours of run time with less than 5 miles of go-cart. Not sure if they moved factories, or what changed, but after asking around it seemed to be a general consensus. Your mileage may very.

My thought was after selling the lake house, ski boat, sailboat, and two kayaks, I would have a lot more time on my hands.

Not so. I did get a little work done yesterday. alternator off, PS pump off. Most everything off the motor but the fuel lines. Almost ready to pull the motor. Maybe later this week or Saturday.

Have fun, absolutely love that track.

Also deatschwerks makes fuel pumps. I have my eye on the DW300 or, like metalmaker said, the Aeromotive

Deatschwerks and aeromotive, the stock pump is good for about 300 whp max, but that's why a upgrade is just a good idea. Walpro used to make a great pump, but of late they are not great

I'm a dealer for Deatschwerks so if you want pumps or injectors I can supply them. One of my donors had the Walbro pump in it is the reason I'm using it. Might have to go with the DW300 if I decide to go E85...

I've run Walbros in my Subarus for the past 12 years without issues, but I did recently change one out in favor of a DW300 for my E85 setup.

I believe I still have the stock STI pump that came on my fuel pickup if anyone wants it.
