    818R as a 2 seater?

Someone mentioned the 818R production version may be a two seater. They wrote they heard this at the open house. I am OK with the 818R being a single seat car but would prefer a two seater. It will be rare for me to have a passenger but having a driving coach giving you on the spot instruction is valuable. I am learning to drive on the track and have found a driving coach helpful for me.

I asked Dave about this at SEMA and he was VERY clear that the 818R would be a one seat car. Has Factory Five revised this position?

Anybody else like the 818R as a two seater?

It has been confirmed that the R will not have the cross bar and you will be able to install 2 seats.

But then the question becomes which fuel cell location is standard and which one is the option?

Standard tank on both models will be behind the seat.

There will apparently also be an optional Wookie Tank which will not extend behind the driver, allowing for more seat adjustment.

Hmmmmm fuel cell option behind seat by chance? If not, maybe a 914 fuel safe cell will fit. I'm not a fan of a regular fuel tank in a race car.
    Thanks- Chad

I think the idea of a two seat 818R is awesome!! If you could manage a windshield and a few other odds and ends, you could have one heck of a daily driver!! And then a race beast on the weekends! Terrific news...

    Steve
