Please don't do this to your roll bars!

**** (SPOOF, SHAMELESS ADVERTISING PLUG, NOT REAL, FAKE, BOGUS, DUMMY, FALSE, MINDLESS WANDERINGS OF A FRUSTRATED WRITER) ****

Hey, Guys. Met a guy this weekend at a cruise-in and he had just finished building his car. He was real proud of it and rightly so. When I questioned him about the big bolts through the roll bars he got real defensive while his wife rolled her eyes and walked off to look at other cars. He starts telling my how these were the correct bolts to use and they were the only two left over from the kit anyway, they had to be the correct ones, right? He said his uncle had a real cobra and the original cars had the same size bolts. Didn't I know anything about safety?

We'll who could argue with that? I wished him well and asked if I could take some pictures. He changed his tune then and got a little more personable. I asked him if he was a member of the forum, he said, "what forum?" Nuff said.

You guys are lucky, being a member keeps you from making mistakes like this. I don't want anybody installing exposed bolts through their downtube. That's why I'm offering a 5% discount to builders on the Blind Roll Bar Attachment Kit. Works on Chrome, Powder Coat and Painted Bars.

Just enter the text coupon NOBOLT to get the discount. (I think I messed up and the discount will work with the driving light kit too, free shipping comes with the purchase of both)

You must post that you are going to buy, sounds like a sleazy way to get a bump, but whattayagonnado?. Have fun!

It's amazing that he put together a nice car and then lost his mind on something so simple.

Don - when I put NOBOLT in coupon space, it says it's expired.

Is being blind required to install that bolt?

If so, how much for the beeping curbs kit to drive it? I'm pretty nearsighted and my wife has suggested I start using them.

I like how the WIFE's bolt is facing down toward's her head and his is pointing up/away! LOL

Proud owner of Don's "first gen" design for our Mk 3 roll bar. Great product and fit and the looks are "seamless"... lol

Ouch! That hurts just to look at it. Thanks for the NOBOLT discount. I received my kit for my MKIV dual roll bars today and will send pics when this beast is finished. Thanks Don, appreciate you. Nick C.
