Join Us for the 7th Annual Huntington Beach Cruise-In, April 26th

Spend a day at the beach with over 100 Factory Fives, music, car show awards, and good times!

The 7th Annual Factory Five-Huntington Beach Cruise-In event will be held this year on Saturday, April 26th. This year the town of Huntington Beach is closing off the entire downtown area to traffic for Factory Five cars. We will have live music from The Fabulous Nomads – Orange County’s oldest surf band.

Along with hundreds of customer cars, we will be displaying newly built Factory Five demo cars and the Factory Five big rig will be on the beach pier plaza with the new Factory Five 818.

Factory Five owner Dave Smith’s kids Nicole and Jenny (middle) and the Carlson girls help with registration.

    Date and Place:
    Saturday, April 26th 9 A.M. – 4 P.M.
Main Street and Pier Plaza, Huntington Beach, CA

    [b]Schedule:[/b
    9 A.M. – Registration Opens
10 A.M. – Event Begins, band starts playing
    10:30 A.M. – Car Show Judging
2:00 P.M. – Car Show Awards and Boring Speech by Dave Smith
    4:00 P.M. – Event Concludes*

*Note: All vehicles must leave the pier plaza by 4:00 P.M. Parking lot is open until 10:00 P.M.

2013 show saw over 100 Factory Fives invade downtown Huntington Beach. Read last year’s report here.

Good to see you got the "illegal" tractor issue resolved so the big-rig can play too!

Not yet. Bob Stewart is driving and we'll borrow/lease a tractor from Stewart Transport if we cannot get a waiver from California. It's a royal pain, but we have a chance to make HB into one of the great car events and a truck issue won't stop it.

Dave, make sure you guys bring big boy Tee shirts this year. I really wanted some of those fancy new logo ones last year but they were out of MAN (IE XXL) sizes. Also bring some ladies cut ones. Julie was pissed. LOL.

Yes. Drive in behind one-another and you can park together.

Couple questions re: checking in & parking on the morning of the show.

When I registered few days ago, there was no mention of assigned spaces or anything similar at the event, so my assumption is that it's sorta/generally "1st come, 1st parked" on Saturday morning.

That said - and knowing how things can change year-to-year as events like this grow & mature - any sense of what time Saturday AM people started to line-up for check-in for last years show ... and where (where relative to where the FFR truck was parked)?

Any thoughts and guidance will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Lynn

    Lynn,
There are no "assigned" spaces at the event, it is 1st come 1st parked. Registration opens at 9 and there will be people there before that, there is really no reason to get there too early unless you want to eat breakfast at Dave's favorite place. Parking will be along Main street on both sides of the street. I do not know at this time where the FFR truck will be located.

It was 2006 when Factory Five hosted the 1st Huntington Beach Cruise-In as a way to celebrate a long day spent at the Knotts Berry Farm show. The Cruise-In has since become an annual day-long event, and this year's show is just a week away. In 2006, we unveiled the 5-day build GTM, and this year, we'll be showing off our special edition '33 Hot Rod built in collaboration with Hot Rod Magazine. Here's a fun photo from the 2006 event.
