How to Remove adhesive from powdercoat?

Does anyone have a product or trick to remove adhesive from powdercoat without damaging it? I used a bit of goof off in an inconspicuous area inside on the backside of the firewall and it turned the powdercoat grayish. The finish is a low gloss or satin and most removers are pretty harsh. Any thoughts and/or ideas fellas? Thanks for the help.

Aircraft Spruce sell a Paint Cleaning Solvent. Best stuff I have ever used. Use it on powder coat and paint on my Cobra all the time. I have a gallon in my shop because it takes off most adhesive better than anything I have ever seen. Works on other stuff too.

Lighter fluid works well on most adhesives. Doesn't harm plastics or paint.

3M makes an adhesive remover part number 08984. It is available at any automotive paint supply store. Will not harm paint, powder coating or anodizing. It's also handy for many other uses around the house.

X2 let it soak a bit and adhesive will dissolve. Then just wipe off.

mayonnaise. Works on many adhesives. Let it sit for a while. Before that try super strong duct tape. It might pull it off.

Best stuff I've found for removing nearly any kind of adhesive, etc. and a general useful cleaner to have in the shop. I've yet to find a surface it harmed. Another forum member mentioned it some time back and that's when I tried it. It's at Walmart, Home Depot, etc.
