see what one man can do in thrty days -- 818 S

I received my chassis on 3/15/2014
I have been working on it every day since then.
it's really fun compared to restoring a rusty old clunker
It does not take a year to find parts and then try to restore them back to new is a pain

see here what i did in the last 30 days

Very nice ! Did you leave the middle of the rear firewall open (middle triangle space)? Also did you use steel or aluminum ?

Wow that is awesome! I received mine a week later and am in the process to spending the better part of 5 weeks on the road thinking about making this much progress. Keep posting, we want to follow along.

I like the raised center tunnel - looks like it'll have an interesting shape when finished.

Curious though, why do you have so much of the corrugated tubing along the side? Didn't your kit come with the solid tube to lay along the side?
Is that an AC/heat box you have mounted there? Looks like you've got some nice personal touches here.

    Best,

I like the raised tunnel as well. Good spot for storage!
Have you seen the 818 Registry on Google Maps?? https://www.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...a=0&dg=feature

Want your 818 added to the Registry? https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1zmF...rNCY4/viewform
