    Question Roadster Chassis dimensions....

Can anyone enlighten me to the height of the Mk iv chassis from the bottom of the 4" tube up? I can't seem to find it anywhere...

    Thanks!

Not completely sure what you mean. FWIW, it's about 37 inches from the bottom of the 4 inch tubes to the top of the highest point of the firewall, which is the highest point of the assembled chassis. Does that help?

It most certainly does!!! I just wanted to make sure my over chassis body buck was going to clear the chassis as it rest on the chassis dolly... Seems like you always have answers for me....

    Thank you much!

You're certainly welcome. Glad that was what you were looking for. My only comment though is I think you're going to want the car up the air higher than that. It makes a huge difference getting the chassis up on jack stands. You need to get under it pretty frequently, plus it's just easier on the back having it higher while you're working. I just measured my over chassis body buck, and the openings at each end are just over 47 inches high. This lets me put the chassis up as high as my floor jacks will reach to put in the jack stands. I have a standard 2 car garage and garage door, and the body just clears the top of the opening.

I have about 60 inches of clearance but the chassis dolly is about 14" so just a notch below your 47...So hopefully good...Thanks again for your help...

Sounds like you're all set. Your back will thank you for the added height. Good luck and enjoy your build!
