Last weekend, I was able to put in two solid days and made a little progress. I'm at a point where it's all in the details, and they are very time consuming.
The headlights and covers took the better part of a day to install.
I taped the cover to the opening and marked a point to attach the clip to the cover. The clips were tapped and I installed stainless 10-32 button head screws. After laying the cover into the headlight opening, I reach through the hole for the headlight from the back side and marked the location for mounting the clips to the body. They were attached with the same 10-32 screws with nylon locking nuts on the backside. I used a #36 O ring as a gasket between the head of the screw and the cover, as well as the cover and the clip.
The edge trim on the covers is black universal "U" door trim. I found it on the "tuner bling" aisle at Pep Boys, but also saw it at AutoZone, and O'reilly's.
I also started the carpet in the rear hatch area, and hopefully will finish the interior carpet this weekend.
I used a nylon loop from ACC (Auto Custom Carpets). I bought 5 yards, and I think I will have just enough to complete the car. I think the total was about $160 with shipping.
