The Most Insane VRaptor SpeedWorks GTM Build Yet?

The owner of this car and his dad drove here yesterday to pick up his new ride. I am very, very, very blessed to have the greatest customers that a business could ever care to have. These guys and their dreams/visions/cars are the reason I got into this business in the first place. I can't thank him and and all of my customers enough for trusting me with their dreams.

He is still on the road on his way home as I write this. This car was by far the most ambitious build we've taken on here with a list of equipment and modifications that are pages long.....LSX iron block, ISIS with ,I think, every option that ISIS offers, front suspension lift, traction control, nitrous, Tillett seats, AC/Heat, several chassis mods, several body mods, LED tail lights, 5pt harnesses......

Anyway, thanks again to him for his business and I hope he enjoys his new GTM.

Congrats Shane, that paint looks plugged in. Can't wait to see more pics. The flares look nice, all said and done.

Thanks for all of the great comments guys! And thanks, John (kabacj) for pioneering all of the chassis mods. This car has about 3/4 of the same mods that you did on your car.

I was looking forward to seeing this car finished, it's wild. It's got a big ol' mast motor in it too right?...

I like the riveted on louvers on the fenders and the wing which makes it look a little "raw" like a racer. The rest of the car looks elegant especially with all the bodywork and over the top color. That's quite a mixture of mild and wild. You need some racer edge sort of features to remind people of the LSX under the hood, don't you!!! Very nice work, Shane. Also like the louvers in the diffuser. Is that one of your ideas?

    Thanks,

    WEK.

Thanks! The louvers in the diffuser are my "Between Strakes" louvers.....been selling those for quite a while. It was about the only place left on the car with room enough to mount the engine and trans coolers.....and IMO is the perfect place for them. Instead of heating the air coming into the car, you have a nice low pressure area there to pull air thru the cooler and pull the heat right out of the engine bay.

That would be a question for the owner if he decides to chime in. It starts off here:

    http://www.sprayonchrome.com/index2.html

I'm not certain of all of the details on what was used for the candy coats over the chrome. Streetrod painter did the paint.

    Shane-

That car is a work of art! There are so many cool elements, it's hard to pick just one.

What an amazing job, and a stunningly beautiful car!

    Congratulations.

What are the rear wide body fender arches? Those an option (never seen that) or are they custom? In my opinion those clean up the back end of the cars lines. Again my opinion, it breaks up the unusually long appearing rear, visually it alters the proportions. With those lines... I would consider one, great look Shane.

Thanks! Those are custom made from scratch. Yes we do have the moulds here to re-produce them.

I never really thought of it that way. GTMs look long to me now that you say that. I do love the arches but the front tires murder them with rocks! I need to build some front rock deflectors "mud flaps" or something.

Right yes, and here I assumed you did that fender and the rear window treatment to remedy that aspect. Personally I think Shane is missing the mark by not marketing it as specific version of the car he can do. The "VR Wide body GTM" or whatever. A big reason for a super car is to be loud visually, if not Lambos and the ill fated Grumpert would look have like looked more like Camarys of course.

Yours flotowngt, screams super car a lot louder. To me at least. There is no doubt many prefer the smooth lined, more vanilla and understated appearance of the factory look and that is quite fine, not knocking it, there is room for everyone tastes, it is all personal. It is why they make chocolate and vanilla of course.

I think GTM's should have looked like this front the get go though is all. A man could die of thirst walking across the back end of that car though.
