    Who is placing an order!

    And what are your plans?

    Replicating a particular car?

C'mon guys, I'm sure that some of you already know if you're going ahead with an order. There are some masterful builders around here, so I'm sure we're going to see lots of great builds.

I'm thinking that once 7074 is done, I'll start planning for a track-car only build. Something that replicates one of the originals, does away with anything that doesn't make it stop, go, or turn better, and has a fair amount of patina right out of the gate - i.e., look for lots of vintage parts (sort of the "ultimate donor").

LOVE that concept. New that looks old. Distressed leather seats....

Ohhhh yeahhhhh - I'm gonna start leaving things laying around in the yard soon just so they look right on this car. I want something that looks like you should have a tetanus shot before driving it.

That's the first production cobra...csx2001 and belongs to Bruce Meyer.

Adam Carolla visited his garage and in the first part of this video, Bruce talks quite a bit about it:

I am visiting FFR on July 26 to see if I can fit the FIA well enough to own one. This is the car I have been waiting for. 6"4" tall with a long torso so may have to do a Kirkey bolted to the floor like I did with my Honda S2000. If I buy one it will be with the 289/302 and a top loader. IRS as well with pin drive wheels.

Darn, I live in Northern NH mountains. Interesting that there were a bunch of FFR cars in town over the past weekend. Seems the New England chapter was having an outing. Wish I had known ahead of time.

I ordered mine the day of the unveiling. Hope to take delivery early September. I've been spending my free time researching the 289 and waiting for some reponse from FFR about the rear axle.

I visited Factory Five just over a week ago. I've been waiting for a decade for them to come out with the 289 FIA and they waited until I had two little girls at home and a house to build.

I guess that just makes the whole thing more of a challenge so I'll be ordering as soon as I can get my family into a new home. When exactly that'll be is somewhat less certain but c'est la vie.
