    power coating cost

I know this is gonna vary greatly with what was done and who did it. But generally speaking what can be expected cost wise for the unfinished pieces and especially all the aluminum pieces. Thx. Sam

I paid $400 for driver/passenger side interior aluminum, intake manifold, valve covers, coolant cross over, and A2W intercooler from VCP. That includes them doing all the prep work. I literally brought the valve covers with oil dripping off them.

$200 for 19 aluminum panels, not door frames, but I sanded all to 220.

I can't do the aluminum parts
What is the reason for not doing aluminum parts? I do all my aluminum parts with the Eastwood kit and a junk oven. Its easy and turns out professionally done but the parts have to be very clean and lint free per the instructions in the Powder Coating Manual. (See post #15 in my build thread) The time is about 45 minutes from bare to ready to install.

I extended the door to make it larger... take oven door off
take out oven drawer, use it as inside of a new "door, made aluminum 2 inches bigger and it sits on blocks to seal off the oven and make it square. You could use two junk ovens facing each other with an aluminum "tunnel" inbetween and get much larger.

I use eastwood's IR lamp to do bigger pieces, use IR thermometer and move the lamp to do larger parts. works great! I did my rear aluminum air vent grate just yesterday! I go to powders by the pound for add'l color choices. Different powders have diff temp and time REQ
