    Will this flare leak?

First tries, using OEM in line flare tool as seen elsewhere on the forum.

Main concern is this slight asymmetry viewed from the side, though the mating surface is true, smooth and uncracked.

These are what the flare itself looks like, seems ok. I deburred, went slow and opened it up slightly after flaring to get the factory I.D.

    Thanks, guys.....

I think you will be fine with that flare. It's got enough shoulder to support the pressure to tighten and the mating surface looks very good to me. You used a double flare technique, right? You should be OK. I've actually had flares that looked worse and worked! Good luck, WEK.

On your third picture, I see splits at 10 o'clock.
    I would tri again.

On my first try last year 8 of 12 leaked.
Just did my second car yesterday. 12 for 12 good with eastwood tool.

    Thanks guys!

Bob- took a close look at that 10 o'clock- my picture taking is worse than my flaring skills! Just a slight pain remnant, no crack.

And, nope, not using the old thumbscrew flaring tool, but this one as suggested, I think by metalmaker.

Slow, but the flares have been consistent, no cracks yet. Proof will be when I bleed it and stomp on the pedal….
