    Interest Check: Turbo Heat Shield

10-29-14 Update: Official FS thread here:
    http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showt...877#post175877

Gauging interest on a turbo heat shield. Target price is $55 (+ shipping).

My cobb heatshield wouldn't fit due to how close the strut tower brace is. This design will bolt to the strut tower itself using 3 rivnuts (supplied with heatshield) instead of bolting to the downpipe/turbo bracket. The mounting plate and the heatshield will both be stainless steel with the name laser etched into the mounting plate. The prototype name plate is aluminum with the name CNC'd. The final design also adds a third screw to the name plate just below motorsports to create a more rigid triangular design. I have only verified fitment with a TD04. I'll offer a 10% discount to anyone with a different turbo that wants to be the first to do a test fit. There is a good amount of room for adjustment so unless you went stupid large on the turbo, it should fit.

This will help prevent radiant heat from soaking your intercooler and deflect some rising convection currents while at a standstill.

If there is enough interest I'll place an order.
