Question oil pressure sending unit installation on efi 302

I was wondering if auto meter oil pressure sending unit can be installed on oil filter adapter included with relocation kit.....is stock pressure sending unit necessary for computer in efi engine or can I simply eliminate it?
    Help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can drill and tap a hole in the block adapter or filter adapter for the sending unit. Make sure it's tapped in after the filter. The part supplied by FFR is cast aluminum. Be careful when tapping it, as it can crack.

I think the only thing the computer uses the factory sender for is to run the factory oil pressure gauge.

Just remove the stock one in the block, and install the Auto Meter one.
