I took my Roadster to a dyno shop for a tune to adjust the ECM for the revisions to the air intake system and position of the O2 sensors compared with the stock setup. They did a nice job, and while I was there they said that the Mass Air Meter (mounted per FF instructions) is being disturbed by vibration from the engine. They suggested replacing the 90 degree steel elbow with what they called a "wiggle tube" made of rubber/plastic that would insulate the Meter from vibrations and result in a smoother running engine.

I found a 4" air intake tube from Spectre Performance (see picture) that I think is what they had in mind. My questions:

- is vibration from the engine coming back to the Meter really a problem?
- would the 4" tube from Spectre (or something similar) be a good substitute for the 4" steel elbow?
