My Gauge Bezel (Fun with Engine Turning)

Now that my jig is done, I decide to create my first piece, a bezel for my gauges. What do you think?

I'm going to do a few more experiments first before I try do a firewall for my brother's car and a complete dash for mine.

Looks good David. Turning is like polishing, once you get it down you're looking for pieces to work on. It's addictive.

Actually, the jig is industrial strength, so I'll be discussing becoming a vendor with the guy who runs the forum.

    How's this for repeat-ability?

I turned a larger panel this weekend so I can make more "stuff". like a Glovebox door and some more of these gauge bezels.

I've been playing with angles and came up with this:

I'm going to do another bezel with this orientation. I like it so much I created a new avatar from it...

Sweet. Consider making parts for others for cash?
