    passenger foot box

    can anyone tell me how many inches it is from the bottom of the dash to the floor of passenger side foot box

    MkIII: 16 7/8 inch from dash to carpet surface. There is a 2 inch drop in the front footbox floor. I have about 3/8 inch extra insulation between the FFR carpet and the "Hushmat" (Dynamat like). WEK.
    FFR MkIII 302 (ATK), EFI 75mm TB with custom box plenum chamber, 24# injectors, 4 tube BBK ceramic, cold air sys, alum flywheel, crane roller rockers, T5, Wilwood pedals, custom five link with Watt's link, 4 rotors, coil overs, power steering with Heidt valve, alum FFR rad, driver's crash bar mod, mini dead pedal mod, quick release steering wheel hub #6046

    My MK4 measures 15 before the drop and 17 after. This is between the bottom of the 2" square tube at the firewall and the top of the 2" square tube where the floor under the seat attaches/sits on. The foot box floor attaches to the bottom of the same tube making the 2" drop into the foot box. AC ducts and other parts may protrude below the lower surface of the upper 2" tube. The transition between the floors can be seen in this picture.
