Coyote and 6R80 trans in 33?

Will the Ford Coyote engine in conjunction with the 6R80 transmission fit in the 33?
I would like to use the Coyote with an automatic transmissions and the 6R80 can be found on Ford pickups.
    Thanks
    Ray

Not familiar with this trans, the Hot Rod magazine ... hot rod at FFR has an auto in it. Not sure which one though.....

If you are making moves you should look into Tasca Fords headers, they are the bomb diggety for Coyote installs in a FFR hot rod.

    Ray,
The 6R80 will fit, but the pan will be very close.
FFinisher is correct, the Special Edition "Hot Rod" Hot Rod has an automatic installed. We used a 4R70W from Performance Automatic.
Any other questions let us know.
    Thanks.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but...

Jay, you say the 6r80 will fit but the pan will be close. Close to what? Will the tunnel have to be enlarged at all, especially near the gas pedal? Still enough room to get the driveshaft in, i.e., not too close to the rear end (using 3 link)?

Thanks! Ok, maybe not so sorry especially if I get an answer.

FRPP now sells controller that has auto control built into it for coyote/6r80 15+ style motors.

US Shift has a stand alone controller for the '11 up 6R80. Apparently the '11 and newer transmissions are very different in how the controller operates the transmission compared to older models.

Well, they advertise the power pack for the automatic. But AFAIK, it's not actually available for sale yet. About 6 weeks ago I called around to a few dealers looking for it. But they all told me it wasn't available for order yet.

Power By The Hour has a body harness to adapt the factory computer and harness for the auto to a stand alone system. http://pbhperformance.com/shop/pbh-6.../#!prettyPhoto

They can also help adapt almost any aftermarket shifter mechanism to the 6R80 transmission.

I'm going to try and use this push button electronic shifter. https://www.powertraincontrolsolutio...utton_Shifter/

    Thanks arrow and bob.

Bob, the PBH system won't work with the FRPP control harness? I was trying to avoid using a bulky factory donor harness. Maybe the FRPP will be available by the time I'm ready for that step mid next year maybe. But, as you both say, there are other options. I am pretty set on 15+ and not 11-14 style.

That said, I am more concerned about will it physically fit in the 33 frame and what is required if not. I've heard
    Both yes and no.
