    New exhuast options available now.

One of my vendors has been working on some custom exhaust ideas for our 818s This is the same person that designed the cooling tubes. I will have a breakdown of whats available and what it will cost shortly. Wanted to post some photos right away though.

Here are the 3 basic options. We haven't decided yet wether to offer them in stainless or just steel Leaning towards steel for cost. All pipes are American made and assembled by professional tubing specialists.

The straight pipe might be best for the 818R or if you want to modify but not start from scratch.
All pipes will have O2 ports if needed.

Here is the prototype mounted on my car. This is a 3 inch system with just the converter. Not sure any more will be needed.
Mounting brackets to attach it to the transmission will also be available.

These exhausts were designed with FFRs new trunk in mind. There should be enough room to fit the trunk with this exhaust system.

This picture shows where it will exit out the back of the car. Simple and neat.

Very nice options Mike! Have you had a chance to run them yet? If so, do you have any comments you can share on the sound of the cat version vs the muffler version?

Very nice... I basically piecemealed your second system for not much less than you're offering. If I had to do it again, I'd just buy that!

I seem to always be a few weeks ahead of solutions I'm looking for. Oh well, I like what you did here.

I tried out Mike's exhaust in my car last night. Here's a photo and a video of the muffler-less exhaust...

    Hey Mike,

Do you think that the Race Exhaust would fit through my wing mount that is almost done? The push bar fits into the bumper channel above the vent, so that should not be an issue. I'm just wondering if the verticle bar coming off the bottom right might get in the way.

I ordered one of these and Mike's builder had it available in about a week. The stainless bellmouth and 3" piping makes this a very attractive option.

    Mike,

I opened up my exhaust today, but it unfortunately will be coming back to you for a refund.

Great welding and all, but I thought it was a Bellmouth like what you pictured above. What showed up was a Blank Plate design which you did not mention (yet same price as a Bellmouth?). That will not work for a racing 818R. I'm going to have to figure something out before my track testing next weekend.

    Thanks- Chad

Sorry for the confusion. the bell mouth is only on the stainless units. The straight steel ones compy FFR supplied adapter. Let me see if I can make this right for you. I will have an answer by Friday morning.

Thanks Mike. In the sake of time for my test day, I originally had bought an Invidia Bellmouth Divorced downpipe I may just modify that on Friday. I'm hoping it can get done in time.

There is nothing wrong with the exhaust you sent, it just was not what I wanted for racing. The mount provided is genius.
    Thanks- Chad

Mike, when you gt it sorted out, I'd like to order one but I also want to make sure it has the flow of the bellmouth too.

Thread bump as I just received a couple parts from Mike... I had already put together a similar 3" exhaust, so I just got Mike's exhaust bracket and a single trim ring. The bracket is a super simple/elegant solution and certainly cleaner than what I would have cobbled up on my own. I don't have a tip, I just polished the end of my 304 SS tailpipe, but the polished trim ring should look nice against the black mesh and add a little bling. Thanks, Mike!
