    Help finding the thread with Transmission "clunk" noise on accel/decel.

    I've search for some time, and haven't found it...I remember reading about the clunk noise and then discussion about the relatively soft OEM mount twisting enough for the steel "hooks" to bump against the mounting ...causing the noise.

    I believe I have this issue and want to read all about it. Please help someone.

    {It would be really helpful if the search feature took one to pages...not just threads}

    I have that problem. The trans mount hooks hits the frame near the holes in the frame. See these pictures.

    After you search and find your thread, use the search thread option at the top of the screen to find the page the result is on.
