The #8 header tube touches the drivers foot box. The starter area of the Bellhousing touches the diagonal frame support. The front driveshaft yoke hits the crossmember.
It's a 390 with Edelbrock heads, FFR Hooker headers! and a TKO 600 transmission.
I have searched all the threads I could find to solve this problem. The motor is as far forward as it can be without the oil pan hitting crossmember. Transmission is mounted with lip down. The transmission mount bolts are as far forward as they can be in the slots of the mount. Not sure if different mounts will do the trick.
Also, has anyone had an issue with the header bolts in front of tubes #7 and #8? The tube bends are so tight it is impossible to get a bolt in the hole.
Thanks in advance
