    body to aluminum question.

I am getting close to sending my car out for paint. I noticed that the vertical area behind the door opening the aluminum from the sides was inside the fiberglass body and between the body and vertical roll bar. Should I trim this aluminum to fit inside the body so that the fiberglass body is next to the roll bar vertical? It seems like it would look much better and easier to cover in carpet after paint. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks, TW.

I put that piece OVER the fiber glass body after the body was installed.

Chris not the part I am talking about. The first photo is from the inside passenger side. See how the aluminum s between the roll bar and body sticking out some what. The second photo is inside the drivers rear wheel well area. I think I need to trim the aluminum to fit inside the body and be in this wheel well area. I need help on this. Any thoughts from those who have finished cars?

I put the aluminum under the fiberglass. I also covered the right and left side rear hatch area up to the roll bar with the embossed leather look ABS panels I have used for the interior. For photos search FFR site under "News and Events" for "Bill L graduates coupe #421" Might clear things up a bit.
