I also made 2 support brackets on each side of the motor to support the hood.
    Great Job on the wipers.
Some how I must of had more space between the hood and wind shield as I didn't cut.

yes its all subaru stuff. just had to cut and weld things and make a few brackets, Its funny because I am using aftermarket seats so I re purposed the seat brackets from the kit to make tabs as they wer bent and holes.

Yeah pretty nice! I like the cut in the hood, I mean if a cut is required, this is a nice design

Can you post me a picture of how you mounted that fuse panel under the hood? Mine is ending up in the exact same spot and I'm having issues figuring out a good was to mount it.

sorry it took so long, here are a few pics of the fuse block and the wipers done. Also I got the exhaust all mounted and welded today. Just an FYI only the L side exhausts the Right side are fake tips so I can have a nice looking exhaust that comes thru the bumper and looks factory and even.

Wow....nice job with the exhaust. Best I have seen on this forum and will likely influence my approach. Will you be closing off the area around the tips, or are you leaving them open?

Nice exhaust work. Are you going to add tips?

The fake outlet could be made functional with a QTP electric cutout. I have one of these on my saabaru and have considered one for the 818. https://www.quicktimeperformance.com/OVAL/

I wasn't sure I wanted tips i was going to paint and wrap the exhaust and go with that, I am planning to mesh all the openings and of course cut out around the tips and the muffler.

What did you end up with for the length of the wiper link? I'm thinking that I can use a threaded rod in between the ends and make it adjustable. Your center to center length would give me a good starting point.

Thanks, the center to center I have is 5". I just used the stock linkage and cut it down to a 5" center to center and welded it together then bent the ends a little so the sockets lined up with the ball. It will be more than strong enough for sunny day to day. My car will not be seeing ice and snow to jam it up.

I missed the sneak preview photos of the paint - love the color! It's the same color I've been wanting for mine, though I will likely do a wrap first to keep more immediate costs down. I can't quite tell from the pics above - is it non-metallic? What's the color called? Any shots of the completed paint job? Very excited to see what it looks like!

I am still trying to finish the last few mechanical stuff before I mount the body.

As for the paint it is called Cyber Gray Metallic. It is a GM color on corvette and a few of the other models. It does have metallic in it but is hard to see it in the pics.
It also looks a little lighter in the sun.

Its funny you mention cost. I did all the body work to prep, sanding, mods, fiberglass work, and primer. I just had a guy from work spray the base and 4 coats of clear for 1500 bucks! all panel painted. now mind you the whole thing has to be color sanded to remove a bit of fish eye here and there and a lot of dust nibs (not the best paint booth setup)

here are a few pics one is of the color on a corvette

Sorry guys, I have gone away for work for a few weeks and have not got a chance to work it. it is all done and laying in the basement. I was working the mesh before I left, I got the octagon flat black mesh from customcargrilles.com it makes the vents look like the car is OE.

alot of hours fitting and reworking edges to get it just right, making the vents bigger and moving the gas cap was the biggest time consumer.

    Thanks

Wel done on the exhaust settup. By far the nicest looking one IV seen here IMO.

For me I'll be going single tip direct out the back. Lightest Weight possible is one of my goals.

Very impressive work! I particularly like your innovative exhaust and the dual roll bar hoops. And, the paint, of course! However, I think your windshield support would complement your paint color if it is upgraded to black walnut.

Very nice! The gaps on the body look great and even too. I remember that pic when you cut the rollbar and welded your new one, you've gone a long way since!

Great idea that 2x4 to strenghten the winshield in case of a rollover.
