    Street Legal Plug-In Race Car?

This news item came into my in box this morning. Italian car maker Predator Ltd. announced the PC010 ST "street legal race car." Hybrid or electric.

Think about this - 180 MPH / 0 to 60 in 3 seconds capability on your interstate...

Alas, it is just a dream so far. But -- Price tag: $20,000 in kit form, $23,000 completed car.

Might be something to look forward to, after we complete our kits. . .

Interesting... but something odd about driving down the highway, looking at the lane next to you, and seeing an F1 car cruising past you.

Before I started on my first of 15 ffr cars it has always been a dream of mine to create a Indycar for the street. I figured I could do pop up headlights in the front wing and go with a V6 to keep the driveline shorter. I now wish I had splashed molds off of all the bodypanels when I had my real indycar. Maybe someday I'll still pull it off.

    I love the idea.

With FFRs link to Ford Racing maybe Factory Five could produce a street/track machine with Ford since they have not moved the street Formula Ford Ecoboost street car forward. It could be a WIN/WIN/WIN for Ford/Factory-Five-Racing/Us. Might not be electric, but sure would be fun!

This Lemans concept caught my eye back when the 818 was under development. Perhaps someone will adapt a body like this to the 818R to create a neck straining track killer:

They could be made gas or electric just like the current 818S and 818R.
