Bringing this thread back from the dead because, reading Adam's Canadian 818 thread reminded me of this thread.

Driving to work I saw a Dodge Charger noticed his taillights which got me thinking about my build and what Adam posted about oem taillights.

What about going old school for taillights? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTZ9M1EkCNQ

Mechie has a setup like that, with dual round lights side by side, and some honeycomb to surround them.

Yes he does, but doesn't have the lights to go with it. Mechie's set up however will interfere with my plan for the license plate . Personally I don't think that I will be changing the taillights from the stock setup anyway, at least not for a while.
I was thinking out loud, and was wondering what the community thought.

Not sure. That is far down the road, I resurrected this thread cause of what came up in another thread and the Inspiration that came when I saw the 69 Charger.

I think I may consider shooting for something similar to the Lotus - I like the look of the open bottom portion. Has anyone attempted this thus far and any pics?

Look at post 79 and 89 on this thread. I think Rori is the only one whose posted pictures.

As the saying goes, there are many ways to skin a cat. Meaning that what's great about this platform is that almost anything goes. Derive your inspiration from this forum or any where else.

Here is mine (upper mesh not installed yet, will be powdercoated black). Mesh made by me, lights imported by me from China, bumper made by Harley818 (he sells them) based on Vman7 design.
