I think a week timeout for invoking emotional distress is in order...

That might not be long enough.... The way metal said it reminded me of little boys selling newspapers on the corners what a tease.

I, also, am very interested in the prospects of a hardtop. However, I would probably have to first register the car as a roadster, and then, add the hardtop later. In Connecticut a top requires the install of a windshield defroster. Not an easy mod.

There are some inexpensive 12V heater blower units that would fit under the dash and could be plumbed to defroster vents very easy IMO.

I am also very interested in this build but would need an optional removable hardtop with roll-up windows. I would prefer one with 3 pieces 2 smaller sections for a quick t-top which could be stored in the trunk and the back piece with the window. This would make it more versatile, easier to remove weight wise and provide security and a weather tight seal. I love the ragtop but I don't care for the zip-in side windows.

Welcome to the forum tayne. Check out the upcoming FFR Open House for the new hardtop for the 818. You would have to modify it for your idea about a T-top.

Haven't been on the forums for quit some time and I come back and see this. Although the hardtop is not out yet it does show on their site that you can preorder it and if you do you will be saving $500. The pics looks pretty nice too I must say. Strongly considering it myself and awesome it's the same price as the soft top plus comes with all the extras (lock and keys, motors, tracks, glass).

I would hurry if I were you so you don't get to far behind on the list. The $500 off is going to help with shipping to SoCal for a few of us.

I went to Factory Five today. That car is down right beautiful. Wait until you lay your eyes on it!

Stunning is all I can say....and the hardware is equally impressive.
