I'm with Dan on the poppers. Trick with a remote beats a door handle.

Nice were those just eBay poppers? Any type of door switch in the plans or just a fob?

I got your door handles: http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearc...tart=0&num=100

It's the same issue for the Daytona - never had any from day one. I view this at work in a spare moment to see what might work and then go find that model in a parking lot or wherever to see how it looks real life. A little ingenuity will make the linkage work out, it's a matter of what features, like key cylinder, pull out or straight bolt on, how much it's frenched, etc. And of course, style - a big honking chromed Navstar or Hummer handle isn't the optimal choice.

Lots of late model designs that work like old '50's refrigerator handles are hot now, plenty to choose from and the salvage yards are full.

With the 818C at least the power window issues are now sorted out, which should give the Daytona guys some leads on how to do it.

We've considered a set of NA miata handles. They're tiny, unobtrusive, and a simple external shape to cut out. We might have a look at it when we're working on the doors.

Yep, I bought two and they were around $8 shipped. The fobs and relay unit were around $10 shipped. I need to add some brackets and what not. I plan to have a hidden momentary switch in the door panel for occupants to use. The wireless fob is just for access from the outside.

So if you just use poppers, how do you get into the car if the battery dies?

I think I'll use door poppers but is Factory Five planning an outside door handle since they are coming out with a new door frame with the windows?
