    Dash preview

Well I've been busy redesigning my dash set up, and other then the cover over the main gauges it is pretty well done.
Cut out the center dash support with the holes to facilitate the center piece.
Driver and passenger pod are one piece right now but gauge cluster is removable. Sorry for the dark pictures but you get the idea.
Looking to upholster the gauge pods in red vinyl carbon fiber and the main pieces and console in black.

Center console has a little cubby for your wallet, sunglasses etc.
Anybody have a spare turn signal light?

Nice work, John. The raised pod behind the steering wheel gives much greater visibility to the tach and speedo. I find the standard setup as I have to be pretty useless on the track ... just can't see the tach.

Love that dash. Having the gauge panels in bare metal would be a very cool look!

    Thanks guys!
Not sure if my detail work would let me use it in bare aluminum, but it does look prety nice on the console especially.

This new version looks very nice. Guess you've given up on the idea of using the Spyder dash.

It sure did. Can't wait to see it completed. Don't throw that Spyder dash out. You may be able to sell it, and recoup the money. I still plan to make mine work.

As the process evolved I cut my spyder dash to pieces and now is taking up room in the landfill

Oh well. Hopefully, mine won't suffer the same fate as yours. Then again, if I get too frustrated, who knows...
