    Windshield Wiper Wheelboxes

I have a couple of questions about the wipers. I have the instructions for the wipers, but for the wheel boxes they say "Drill ⅜" holes pilot holes for the wheel boxes on the body locations then open the holes up to ⅝”" My question is where are the body locations? Is there a template I'm missing or do i just need to figure this out on my own? If anyone has any measurements that would be really helpful!

Also if anyone has any wheel boxes, mine are missing so I'm in the market for a pair!!!

P.S. As a side note i got my kit from a friend who passed away a few years ago, and the car was sitting for a couple of years so some stuff got misplaced and or lost. So if some of my questions seem a bit weird this may be the reason (or I just don't know what I'm doing...)

I am sorry to hear about your friend.

This is a link to ********** that has a better wheel box than comes with the kit.

It sounds like you have a gen 1 kit because the gen 2 kits have a boss to mount the wipers on. Try this link.

Thanks Bill, it is a Gen 1 Coupe kit. I do have the instructions in the second link. How do you figure out where to put the wheel boxes? I am a measure twice cut once kinda guy lol.

I don’t know. My gen 2 has bosses that locate the wheel boxes

Hey why doesn't the Coupe have a tool like this? And the instructions are much better!

In actuality, that tool is almost useless. Better measuring and drilling the holes free-hand and sneaking up on the final size and angle with a dremel.

If you are missing parts it may be a good time to look at the marine wiper options instead. Much better and more reliable.
There was a post on this on the other forum

    Have a look

Thanks for all the replys. Some great ideas...

I was digging through some of the paperwork I had not gotten to yet and I found the template for mounting the wheel boxes so for now I think I am all set!

So far the best idea I have seen is jkrueger over on the other forum. See post 95. http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showt...rst-home/page3
