Neglected MK1, Brought home and getting ready for updates!

This car was sitting for years. The second owner was Bill Scholl of STL. He went through the car and set it up for drag racing. He raced it in the mid 2000's and his best time was in the mid 10's! 347 cu in built and tuned By Stiegemeyer Porting Services. We took tub off today and getting it ready for paint. We want to update the floor pans and some other worn and out dated things like door and trunk hinges and dash, carpet etc..

Looks like a great project. Glad to see a roadster freshened and improved for it's new owner.

    Good luck,

That should be a fun project. It's cool to see some of the differences between the Mk 1 and the Mk 4.

Check us out and join us next month (3/10), lots of FFRs and knowledgeable resources.
We're meeting at Fastlane (in St. Charles!) and Chesterfield when the weather gets better.

Would enjoy hearing about your build plans.
