    wiring rear lights....HELP

    So I wired the left rear lights as told as below:

    I'm writing this up as Ron Francis wire on left and the Light wire on the right:
    Brake lights
    Purple (Brake)-> Green
    Tan (Tail light)-> Red/Yellow
    Black (ground)-> Ground

    Turn Signals
    White or Yellow (Right or Left Turn) -> Green
    Tan (Tail light) -> Red/Yellow
    Black (Ground) -> Ground

    The green wire on each light is the bright element and the red/yellow wire is the dim element. You need to tie the tans and black to both lights, but it will light up all 4 as tail lights, the uppers as brakes and the lowers as turn signals.

    So far I have just hooked up the left side. Upper brake light is always on, even when key is out. Turn signal working. Bottom light comes on when head light switch is pulled. Lower light doesn't come on when brake pedal is pushed. Any ideas?

    Fixed it. button that hits the brake pedal was not pushed in far enough to turn off light.
