    235/40/17 fronts fit?

I'm looking at using 235/40/17 federal tires on 17x8.25 et35 wheels. Does anybody have this size on the fronts??? Issues? They are 24.4in dia. Thx sam

That diameter is going to be a problem, I think. I read a lot of people had rubbing issues (Chad comes to mind) with 235's. My 215/40 tires barely clear in the front.

Though, I'd love to hear if you find a good solution to this. I wanted to run 235 front and 265 rear.

I have 225 -40 R-6 on 17x8, not sure how much taller you can go and clear the frame.

I have that combination with no problems with clearance to the chassis or firewall. I don't have the body mounted so can't comment about clearance there.

I'm running the 235/40/17 Federal 595 RS-R front on a 17x8 +35. I've increased the front caster with the "free caster mod". I only rub on the front swaybar when I'm nearing full left lock.

I'm also using 325/40/17 without the caster mod. Front left has 1/8 clearance at full lock. Front Right hits the firewall, but barely.

I haven't fit the fenders yet, so I don't know if they clear there.
