What Does the Charcoal Canister Drain Nipple Connect to?

I think I finally know how I want to mount the charcoal canister, but I haven't figured out what I need to do with the nipple labeled "Drain". The other two, that go to the purge and gas tank are clear enough.

Should I just plug it? If I don't either plug it or connect it to something, I'm afraid it will essentially become a vacuum leak when the purge solenoid opens.

The purge solenoid draws the fumes out of the charcoal. It needs to draw fresh air to do that properly. Make sure the drain is open, I simply left mine not connected to anything.

The solenoid is controlled by the ECU and won't open when a loss of vacuum is a problem.
