    Replicar Deliemma

I'm currently working on a 289 FIA FFR roadster replica. I am working on the form to get it registered in Pennsylvania and found certain things that are driving me nuts. I'm attempting to build a replica of the original with just a few modern touches, mainly for ease of operation. But now I find that I'm required to have bumpers, defroster, wipers (which I am installing) and backup light.

Since this is a 289 body will the standard MkIV bumpers fit?

I'm install a small off-road LED light just under the body but I hope above the X-zone required by the state.

I'm check with the state about the requirement of a defroster on a topless vehicle.

Has anyone else had these prblems?

Send a message to my friend "FMJ" (Fred) here. He recently went through the Pennsylvania registration and inspection process and may be able to answer some of your questions. I know that regarding bumpers he maintained that the quick jacks were indeed just that and as far as I'm aware the inspectors agreed.

I just went thru PA title/registration, with my plate/registration arriving 7/22 after 5 weeks of Harrisburg.

    - Yes, bumpers are required for the enhanced inspection and the annual inspection you get after you get the registration. Can you get a ticket if you don't have it on between annual inspection? Sure ... but WOULD that happen?
    - Yes, defrosters are required, as are wipers.
    - Download the Special Construction fact sheet, Subchapter K and Pub 45 from the DMV website. Subchapter E applies to passenger car inspections and special construction vehicles also.

I am not sure. What is the spacing between the front and rear quickjack holes, both horizontal and vertical?
Where are you located in PA? There are at least 4 Mk4 in the Lock Haven/Williamsport/Sunbury general area. I am up for a drive if you want to look/compare.

Bristol Penn Jersey Auto 215-946-1833 should be able to do the enhanced inspection for you. Give them a call as they are just up the road in Levittown
