I lost my best friend last night. He opened a Texaco repair station in 1965. He was my mentor and my teacher. He has gone home to be with the lord. He was so proud of the car. I will see you again dad.

So sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family.
Dave-
You have my sympathy! I am so very sorry that you lost your Dad.
I hope you can find some peace.
Regards,
Steve
Sorry to hear that Dave. Our thoughts are with you.
Well it has taken a few weeks but I ventured out to a car show today. I decided to go to a show that I have always wanted to go to. The problem was that it was 4 hours away. So many packed up and left at 5:30am. Had a great time.

Playing around with color. What do you think.

Is that the candy root beer color I think mentioned earlier? Looks good
Started to smooth out the body. My wife hates the smell of body work. I told her it smells like aftershave to men!

Thank you ehansen007 for the drawing of the trailer hitch. Test fitting today.

Hi Nevin
If you look at the photo with the 2x4 you can see the saddle connection has a space of 3/4 inch. My plan is to cut off the saddle and put a 3/4 inch spacer that will run the full width of the hitch. My plan is i can bolt the saddle and use a carriage bolt to attach the hitch to the frame via the 3/4 spacer.i also made the receiver to long and it sticks out past the fiberglass. I hope to have it fixed by Friday. I will post more photos. Hope this helps.
More body work. It's going to look great.

To bad you can not brace the hitch. With the twisting pull on frame i would keep an eye on it.
Time to flatten out the panels.

Hello everyone the weather is getting better so I am sure you are all itching to get out. I had a problem with clearance of the engine to the hood. I have always admired the ZR1 Corvette. I have decided to cut the hood of the hot rod and insert the ZR1 hood window. This is the first step.
