Yes on all of that, I figured you would all pick up on it. I wanted to change the top line of the side vent to make it more level instead of angled and well as deepen it to make it look more agressive and let more air in. moving the gas cap was just a necessity to accomadate the new vent lines. I used the piece that was cut out of the rear bumper as filler strips and did 3 layers of fiberglass mat on the back to mount it all.

there is still a bit of work to finish it and then do the other side.

It turned out way nicer than I thought it would, its hard to take it and cut it up. It really makes the rear more agressive looking and more air in the rear wouldnt hurt either. now to make the other side look the same. I will post updated pics soon with it in filler and smooth.

Very nice. Why did you choose to move the gas cap back instead of foward?

The reason was I moved the vent line up level and there was no room to leave it where it was and moving it forward would have not made any difference there was no room between the vent and the top of the fender.

Bigger scoop looks much better! I thought about doing this as well. Maybe next summer before painting.

What type of wheel do you think you're going to go with? Your 818 will looks way more aggressive.

I am not sure yet, but I want to jam the biggest I can get in there, right now I have the 18x8" that came with the car on a +48 and I have to add 25-30mm of spacers to get it where I want and I still have an inch to the control arm. I am thinking the XXR 530 in the 18X8.8 in the +33 with a spacer or the +20 and no spacer.

We'll be doing some Black Friday deals on ISC Wheel Spacers, they have 25mm setup that's good! Could be a good time to get some. You're not worried about the reliability of XXRs? I've seen so many horror stories.

There's a lot of this, I've heard, they say, etc. I had a hard time finding any concrete evidence to suggest staying away. On top of that, the weight of the 818 puts so much less stress on the wheel.

This is true, I suppose it's probably much different from the current automotive scene when you are building a kit car instead. I've had XXRs on cars previously but I have seen my fair share of internet posts on XXRs snapping. For the price of RPF1s right now I'd just stick with those for cheap, light, and reliable wheels. IMO that is. No knocking on OP if he goes with XXRs.

I would love some RPF1's. Unfortunately Enkei chooses to only make certain sizes/patterns/offsets in certain colours. They also make way more sizes then listed, but it would seem only some suppliers have access to the odd sizes. I gave up trying to find 18x9.5 and 17x8 or 8.5 in the same colour. Every size xxr is available in every colour.

Any wheel would snap with what happened to that car.

Exactly. I wouldn't expect any wheel to survive a wreck, I just wouldn't want a wheel breaking to be the cause of a wreck.
