508wrx. I have it Here ib this site, Craigslist and Subaru specific groups on Facebook. Most other site require I have a minimum number of posts or be a member for a minimum amount of time.
I would get it on nasioc, even if it takes you 5 or 10 posts to be able to post it to their for sale thread. EBAY should be able to bring the money you are looking for. Set a reasonable reserve on it and let it go. Or you could just wait until June or July for Barrett Jackson when they come to Mohegan Sun and have it roll across the block.

If sold by the 28th of February I will pay for shipping anywhere in the country or I'll take $800 off the price. It is killing me no one wants this car, truthfully I don't understand it. It is more then $10,000 less then it can be built a basic by the book build for and I have sooooo many extras.

If it is "relatively" easy to cage it to something similar to an R configuration that passes NASA/SCCA tech I am interested. I'll look into what that would require. I'm thinking along the lines of an MX-5 halo style cage. If I buy an R I would be putting in the halo anyway, although it would obviously be simpler to start with an R.

Sure. Anything can be modified and this will be, without question, the most cost effective way of doing it.

So, the car is not road legal and doesn't have a tittle yet, is it correct?

Frederic944 As I stated before, It does in NH, however I live in Massachusetts (we have a second home in NH). I have only titled it, I have not registered it. As I said I will assist in buyer in titling in their state if required.

I am the owner/seller. I received a deposit about 6 weeks ago. I am waiting on the buyer to come look at it. He is now coming out the 6th of April. I did not anticipate the delay in the buyer coming out but hopefully he will be buying it this week. If not I will update the thread appropriately. Thank you for the continued interest.

Yes, pretty much. Buyer needs it to go through state inspection. I have not cashed his payment check. I'll keep you all posted.

I still have the car and full payment, however the buyer is looking to have the car tittled in Massachusetts and the state is a bugger. So easy in other states, but not here. If the sale falls through, I will let everyone know. There is nothing wrong with the car it is just that my State only has one inspector and the appointments as well as the paperwork from him are extremely slow coming to fruition.

I would also be interested in buying or trading... I have a 2007 Porsche Cayman S 987.1 manual transmission for trade.

This a a really nice car at a super low price. No one could ever build one like it for anywhere near that price! Don't let this one slip away!

No, LOL. Just stating the facts. I know how much was spent on this car and how well it runs. A real steal for someone who wants an 818 already done.

Thank you Tom. I added up my receipts again yesterday. I am selling near 50 cents on the dollar. Ouch.

For whatever this is worth, here is the issue I ran into with buying it, hopefully it can save someone else a bit of time.

The transmission is not original, and there is not receipt for it, or title going with it (was pulled from another car to replace the donor trans). Donor trans is available, but would have to be swapped into the car, titled, and then swapped back for the replacement. I would love to have still taken the car but couldn't justify it with the extra hassle of two tranny swaps on either of our ends (both of us are pretty busy).

Best of luck. It was in a trailer when I looked at it, did not have the ability to remove from trailer or take it for a drive but it started up and ran well. Been sitting in the same spot on those tires for a long time, body looks to be in good condition.

So to title/register it in your state the drivetrain needs to all be from the original donor? I am looking to purchase it and title it in Texas which I believed to be fairly easy. Could this not be the case?

I'm looking into getting it titled in Dallas at the moment, but running into some resistance. I'll keep you posted.

Need not worry, I'm from Illinois and I have a deposit on the car. For titling in the state of Illinois it is MUCH easier than other states. Now working on the shipping details for the middle of winter...
