only a few slots left for next weekend. It looks like we have 3 cobras(2 FFR's and one replica of an FFR) so we will have our own FFR class.
One less now. I'm registered for this weekend. Time to see what the new rear suspension on the Mustang will do. I will get the FFR up there this year, just not this time.

I'm having issues with my car.
My plugs are full of carbon.
I thought it was just one plug but it was 7 out of eight.
Either a timing or fuel issues.
Still working on it....

looks like a good crowd for the day. Does anyone know if JimS from FFR is driving his challenge care or are we in for a suprise demo??
I know it is the same day as the open house but I still have openings for Sat. It looks like we already have three for the FFR class as my coupe will make it's first appearance this year. Still only in primer but intact after three days on track at VIR.

What better way to celebrate FFR open house than to drive our cars the way they were meant to be driven as opposed to stand around and eat burnt hotdogs.
Looking forward to the day and my first autox with powersteering.
My car is ready but I'm not! I'm having a re-do of last weeks cataract surgery tomorrow and am not going to drive my car in anger until I have both eyes working!
I just hope I didn't buy this SA2010 helmet for nothing!

Ok so it wasn't sunny and 72* today but it was still a good day at the autox. Some heavy rain some spitting but still came away with a fancy TCUSA t-shirt and won a $1 bet with GaryP for having the most spinouts. I had a total of 10 today a personal best.
Ten spins, nice! Does the rain cool the pipes enough to not melt the cones to the sidepipes? I was under the Mustang scraping off melted cone remains from the h-pipe. I don't know how it got there......

John, I noticed in the video of you driving John G's car that you didn't spin once. Not enough HP? Probably your best time!

Haven't been spinning much in the dry. Wet with kuhmo's is a different story between lift and power oversteer the best i could do is genltly rest my foot near the go fast pedal and hope for the best. Getting use to powersteering and a really quick ratio rack just added icing on a very slick cake.
My car is still soaked after a day in the gararge.
I just found out they have autocrosses at Thompson Speedway. Not as long as Devens for sure, but looks like it would be fun. A 20 minute drive for me as well .

Steve I don't see your name on the list for saturday. John F, Jim and I are down that means we have our own FFR class.
Anyone else interested sign up soon.
I waited too long, the registration has been suspended...

Sold out. People probably wait until it is close to see the weather report and I can't blame them.

Try Mark again, Steve. It only shows 40 entries and the cutoff is 55.

Register by midnight on Aug 1 and you will entered into the raffle for a OGIO backpack/cooler donated by Time Out Sportswear, a $60 value. It's great for track days, you can use the top section for gear and the bottom to keep drinks cold.

I still have openings for Saturday's autocross. There are at least 4 cars in the FFR class so bragging rights will be on the line. The weather is looking good. See the post above for the registration link. On line registration will be open until Thurs @ midnight.

Big thanks to everyone who came to today's autocross. Pretty good showing of the FFR cars. We got 17 runs in and were wrapped up and heading home before 3:30.
Factory Five's own Jim Schenck with a blistering 62.18 run was FTD and winner of the coveted Stig jacket. He was driving the new 2012 spec Challenge car. He beat the next closest competitor (highly modified Z06) by almost a second. Nice job!
All the roaster drivers are getting pretty fast. It was the talk at the timing tent. All this seat time is paying off.
My brother was there taking pictures and I know he made a point to get pictures of the Factory Five run group. I'll post them as soon as I receive them.
The next autocross is Sept 24. Come join the fun!
