    818C Color Rendering

Have my 818C kit being delivered this month; I am very excited! As I am bored/excited, anticipating the build, I decided to hop onto photoshop and do some color rendering. Hope you guys like the renderings, and give me some feedback of your favorite.

    Welcome to the forum!

I personally liked the blue one. These cars look great in modern colors, but I've always liked blue.

    Which is YOUR favorite?

Thanks! I think I like silver the best. That brown is cool too though...... I've always liked that color on some production cars.

I'm partial to black or the original grey, from the factory five website. The brown and blue do look quite nice on the 818C, though.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

The blue is mighty sharp. Maybe if the brown had a little more orange in it - kinda like a bronze. I think it's my childish nature, but every time is see a brown car, my mind always equates it to a POS, literally in this case, not so much figuratively.

John, our 818C kit arrives on Friday. I still like Black but that Blue looks sharp as well.

I like the blue. It's not quite Subaru World Rally Blue (WRB), though. I feel like, if you go blue, WRB makes the most sense. Otherwise, the brown looks great too.

    John-

COngratulations on getting your kit soon! Very exciting times preparing to get it home and start working.

I really enjoyed the planning/anticipation phase of the build. I don't think I slept all that much frankly.

The blue and red look great to me. I could easily use either of those colors myself.

What is your vote? Do you have family members that get a vote? What do they like?

Best of luck in your build. I think I speak for many when I say that I hope we see lots of build posts!

    Congratulations again.

    Regards,

    Steve

    Steve,

Thanks for the congrats! My family cars are primarily black and charcoal grey. My family members believe that the sterling grey metallic Ford makes, would be the best color option. I just wanted to put together a visual representation of different colors to see if anything struck me as brilliant. We still have a long while to decide, so I envision some different color renderings in my future.

    Regards,

    John

John, the 818C looks good in all colors but now I'm waiting for FFR to ship my hard top and front end in white so I can retro fit my white 818S. Could you please make a white 818C?

This is about the closest white I was able to get. When you use photoshop, white is the hardest color to render over a car with dark paint. Hope this is close to what you were wanting!

Are you able to do a rendering of an 818S in the Sterling gray of the cyber gray metallic? I have my parts going to paint on Sat and have chosen the Cyber Gray Metallic from the Covrvette.

    Thanks

The blue and silver both caught my eye.

I wonder what a deep metallic green would look like? Maserati has a colour called "Verde Goodwood" that I think looks absolutely stunning on their cars.

Our decision, using the matte metallic blue and pink....yes, pink. Two reasons, STI and my wife just finished chemo and rad treatment for breast cancer. telikiplagiaopsigrammik.jpg
