    Suspension torque spec spreadsheet

    Hey guys- don't know if this will help you but I put the torque specs for OEM equipment and FFR's specs into a Google Sheet. Here the link

    Let me know if you can think of more torque specs to add to this! Big shoutout to Frank from Montreal for having most of these posted on his and my build threads

    Thanks for posting this. There aren't any specs for the front shocks.... I noticed the same info was missing from the FFR manual too. I just torqued the fronts to the same value as shown for the rear since it's all 1/2" hardware and should be the same.

    Thanks! I thought I was missing that and had the same realization. I think that's a reasonable thing to do, although if anyone has inside information (maybe it's in a newer revision?) I'd love to add it to the sheet.

    One item that caught my eye is Rear CV joint nut at 140 ft*lb. I have seen several different values for this nut. In the FFR manual it is listed at 175 ft*lb and I have seen some people go up as high as 240 ft*lb. I would think the value might change with the weight of the car, HP, and how the car is used. I am wondering if there is a consensus of which is the best value to use on our cars?

    Bill- I have this in the manual (Rev 1F, page 135) as 140 ft * lb. I have seen a bunch of values for this. I had mine at 140 last year with no issues but it's certainly a good question to ask.

    I too have seen those 3 rear CV nut values. I didn't know which one to use and decided that 140 was ok. Going at 240 by hand is also harder. In my personal case it won't matter cuz I have a coter pin on the shaft which really prevents the nut from loosening too much. In theory that's what I believe. I might increase to 175.

    For the shocks I used the std torque specs in the manual for X size of bolt.

    When in doubt, I would use the Subaru factory service manual for torques on components that are basically 100% donor, so things like CV nuts, tie rod castle nuts, control arm bolts, lower ball joint bolts etc.

    Excellent idea and greatly appreciated. I was just thinking the other day that it would be nice to have all the torque specs on one sheet for when I have to go back through and nut/bolt the car after putting some miles on it.

    About the axle nuts, if weight drives the torque, then we should have higher torque in the rear than front. Anyone tried that? Like F140/R175?

    Can't modify the sheet.

    Front and Rear Upper and Lower shock bolts torque is 75lbs. EDIT: I was wrong, should be 45 as it is in the sheet.

    Frank, I can't modify the sheet. The rear FFR Upper Lateral link (camber link) to spindle should not be 103lbs, it should be 74. 100-103 are the lower OEM lateral links, which are ok on the sheet.

    Can you change the 103 for 74?
