    Anyone here owned/driven/raced a Diasio D962?

    Hey all-

I know this is "off topic" but was hoping someone in the racing community would have experience with the Diasio D962?

Curious to hear your thoughts about them re: safety, build quality, operating costs, fun factor, ease of maintenance, etc

I know they have bike-engine'd variants as well as rotary powered cars. I'm looking at one that is bike powered. Also curious how involved
the conversion would be, although that is not really something on my radar right now.

I would be using it solely for track days so it's all about the fun.

I have a few times. It belongs to a set of brothers who have quite a collection of cars including a C5R.

It is a Bike powered one (Yamaha 1200 I believe). It was quick and capable. Some of my impressions

    1) It was really hot. The interior with the bubbled windshield even the 75 degree day felt like 100+
    2) It is an aero grip car, not mechanical. A lot like a radical SR
    3) Having a sequential shifter in there was a blast, but a lot of gear changes
    4) You pretty much lay down in the car, or at least I did

Its a good car, and a nice tribute to the Porsche 962
