    Talking 289 Tail Light

HELP. I need a little assistance in the wiring of the tail lights on the 289. The light assemblies have two wires but the harness has four (the tail light, turn signal and brake light). How do you wire these in to have functioning tail lights?

    Hello,

Per the 289 supplemental instructions: Because the tail light is both the stop and turn signal the tail light converter (included) must be wired into the harness,
do this under the dash. On the light, the white is the ground wire and the black is the running light wire. Connect the light wires to the chassis harness.

No need to reinvent the wheel. Your 289 kit should have come with a trailer converter to make your single lamp lights work. Follow the instructions with the converter and you should be good.
