2015 STI 13:1 steering rack fitment.

In case you were wondering if the 2015 13:1 steering rack will fit in your 818, it will. With some minor modifications.

The tie rods were a bit too long. Took half inch off the ends and the threads to get it to a usable adjustment range.

The left hand side mount isn't flat. You need a 0.35" spacer under the bottom mounting point.

This raises the whole rack 0.35" away from the frame, requiring a 0.35" correction to the right hand side mounts as well.

The power steering line connections are also in different spots.

    More permanent spacers coming soon.

Thanks for posting this with the pictures. I've been curious. Interested to hear how it drives.

Now if we could find out if the 15 Wrx rack fits. Get some electronic power steering going in this car.

So that's your screen name! I was going to say "I know this guy that made one fit" and then I saw the bracket and thought "oh...you are that guy".

Unfortunately, I am often "that guy". Rarely with positive connotation.

You don't happen to have some nice 0.35" spacers for the steering mount do you?

Would need one round one for under the left side rack mount and a rectangular one under your mount to match it.

I'll even test them out for you so you can add a '15 STI adapter kit to the site.

Awesome parts by the way. Thank you much.

I'd buy a kit if there was one... Currently I have the left side on there with a bunch of washers. I figured I'd get to it later.

Craig where you ever able to make some spacers for this rack. I'm currently getting all the parts together to swap racks and would love to just throw in your cradle by the looks of it and a nice machined spacer too. I'll post pics of my process in a more complete car. Should be really fun.

Is the rack narrower, or wider, vs the pre 2008 racks?

Wider. I'll get more specs and a feedback on the rack this upcoming week.
