    Daytime Running Lights

    Hello All,

I'm playing around with doing daytime running lights. Actually at this point it is a bit more than playing as I have already cut my headlight bucket. Below are the initial photos of the drl and turn signals. The lights are just sitting in place right now but you get the idea.

I'm toying with making the turn signals sequential, but don't know for sure.

I'm also thinking of using an angel halo around the headlight, not sure if it should be drl and turn signals.

Very nice! Just a comment on having a halo around the light that might double as turn signal. When you are in night mode with the headlight on I think the turn signal would be quite difficult to see in that configuration.

    Halo Light

Thanks for the comments. I'm rethinking the halo around the headlight. It just might be only a DRL.

If you are using the donor harness, the DRL circuit is there. DRLs come on with ignition and off if the hand brake is pulled.

I really like this idea. Bob_n_Cincy and I have been bouncing messages back and forth regarding sequential turn signals. I've got some code nearly complete on an Arduino, but no practical display of how the LEDs look in the buckets. Hopefully soon.

I have daytime running lights and it's as easy as installing a motorcycle turn signal controller for custom bikes. I used this one for two projects now and found it to be easy to install (especially during the build), works great, and inexpensive: https://www.jpcycles.com/product/362...-system-module
