    Mendeola Shifter Question

For those of you who have installed the Mendeola transaxle and used FFR's plastic shifter......did anyone straighten the shifter handle out? It appears right now that it is going to be sticking out to the passenger side of the car quite a bit?

    Shane,
Most customers have done the straightening on these as well as shortening.
Some have recently went to the 818 shifter for a replacement or what we have in use for the non GTM vehicles.
I would look around the past post there was a write up about doing this.

Shane. I did this write up on the mod if you want to modify the shifter yourself.

You can just buy an aftermarket replacement that is very similar to my mod.

    You probably know that already.

Thanks, John! I did pretty much what you did with the exception that I never removed the ball from the shaft......I just cut the shaft, cut it down to length and wrapped a damp rag around the ball to protect it from welding spatter and welded the rod back together.
