FOR SALE: 1988 Mustang GT Differential, 2.73 gears, western PA
If anyone in western PA or thereabouts needs a Fox-width 8.8 axle, I have one sitting in my shop and would love to get rid of it. The axle tag says 2.73 gears and I would guess that is correct since everything else on the car it came from was stock. The car was a 1988 Mustang GT convertible with about 105k miles. I have not torn it down to check the pattern and backlash, or the ratio for that matter, but would be happy to if anyone is interested. I would guess it is worth $100 and that's what I am asking, but if that is too much, tell me why and I might agree!
EDIT: If a set of factory 3.08 gears would make it worth the drive, I will throw them in as well as I don't see them getting used.

Ah I am keeping my eyes peeled for one. But Pittsburgh is a bit too far for me. Best of luck.
