    Doors "T" weatherstripping

FFR mentions using T weatherstripping for the doors surrounds. It doesn't come with the kit and they don't say what type of T.

All I've seen for cars where T shaped for windshields.

    What have you used?

Ok so I won't contact them if that stripping wasn't very good.

Is there air and/or dust flowing from the door's gap and inside the cockpit?
Or would the stripping only be for water?

Frank, I'm also puzzled by the door weatherstrip. The double rubber bulb strip supplied by FFR, #81398, might be what is intended but it came folded up so it is full of permanent creases and I won't use it, and it's just adhesive so will come off. I just ordered #60-0054-99 from Steele Rubber Products which is a 1/2" bulb on a 3/4" tab. I plan on sandwiching the tab between the door panel and the door skin along the back and bottom edges, but I don't have it yet. I'll reply once I get the stuff and the time to install it.

Pete, that's cool, I'm not the only one. If I understand how they work, after sandwiching the tab it will expose the round strip which will squeeze between the door and side sail (where the frame tubes are)?

I'm at the same point and was considering the same as AZPete but was puzzled by the "T" comment. I guess I wasn't the only one that didn't get any.
I'll be posting pics of my door install this week.

It's been nearly 3 months but I finally installed the bulb seal to my door inside edge and I like it. This is from Steele Rubber Products, p/n 60-0054-99, and it is a 1/2" bulb on a 3/4" tab. I ordered 12 feet at $4.40/ft. I sandwiched the tab between the inner door panel and the fiberglass door shell so the 1/2" bulb seals against the "threshold" of the door opening. In addition to sealing out wind and noise, it gives the door a nice firm feel when it closes.

You rock, AZ! One of the best OEM finished 818 out here, that I've seen.

Not sure how that seal would be useful when no top, though. Thoughts?

Hey, Frank, this may not be very useful with no top. Oh wait, if you want to use the 818 as a hot tub this might keep the water from leaking out. Plus, since you are in Canada and it's January maybe a small hockey rink would be better, eh? . . . . You asked for thoughts.
