    STI as a donor?

I see Wayne is offer up an STI as a donor. Does this work as a "complete" donor or are other parts and modifications needed? I am interested in using an STI transmission and the engine and brakes are certainly appealing.

    Thanks,

    Robert.

additional work will be required to get the 6MT to work, I believe the rear trans mount is in a different location than the 5MT plus you'll need the 2WD conversion kit that FFR sells. The '04 is the simplest of the STi donors to get to work.

I used an '04 sti donor. Only issue was that my '04 six speed center diff didn't work with the ffr adapter, and Possum Bourne no longer makes their $1k adapter which did work. I suggest you pay Wayne a little extra to convert the trans to 2wd before shipping you the donor. He's a magician and will know or find a way to get it done. I went the route of buying a 2006 six speed. That year requires only a single weld or use of the ffr adapter to lock the center diff.
