Fill voids and imperfections with gel coat or resin?

When I fill voids or flatten areas by filling cracks, around very small imperfections like humps and stuff, should I use gel coat or resin?

I don't care about color as I will wrap over it, but which one's the best for that purpose?

I feel the resin is stronger and sticks better than gel coat so I thought of using that.

Resin is easy to flatten, but might not bond the same as gel coat to the wrap. Not sure if that's an issue

Hum, good point. Many areas it won't matter much if it's on a flat wide surface and only a small spot is re-worked, but some other areas it may matter, like on edges or close to.

I am using Air Dry a product mixed to resin that removes the tacky feeling and preps the surface for paint and wrap, it should be ok with that.

So resin, applied correctly, might be a good option to gel coat, then?

I would think air dry would be sufficient. I don't know how hard it is to gel coat but filling with resin is easyyyyyy

I knew you'd respond Dan, after all the years you spent on body work... I'll try it out with resin.
