    FFR and John George Building a Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe "R" live stream

    To all my 818 friends, especially the new builders on here.

    John George and FFR will do a live video stream Saturday Dec 31, 2016 - Tuesday Jan 3, 2017 from the shop starting the build. They hope to have coupe rolling by Tuesday!

    Looks substantial, but wouldn't those bars from windshield center up to the windshield surround be a visibility problem? Looks like a monster jam truck could roll over it with minimal damage. Street use?

    Lance, this is the "R" version of the chassis. I doubt that it will see the street.

    I have driven a few cars with triangulated front hoop, you don't even notice them when on track.

    This coupe is a track car first then a street car second
    It will be street legal with heat defrost wiper.
    No sound carpet or sound insulation

    It was great watching the build all weekend. You all did some fine work.

    I appreciate being along for the ride. Do you feel like you accomplished all that you set out to do?

    It's exciting seeing the new chassis, and I look forward to watching others build their coupes!

    I like the live stream also but I think we have one more day. Through Tuesday, right?
